How to Steal Eggs & ASMRs

Stealing is the name of the game in Steal ASMR! You steal eggs from the map, and you steal ASMR squishies from other players’ bases. This guide focuses on successful grabs and safer returns inside 7-player servers. Pair it with Treadmill Speed — without Speed, most contested steals fail.

Two steal types

  1. Map eggs — PvE-style race against other players to unclaimed eggs.
  2. Player ASMRs — PvP theft from a rival collection.

Both use the same muscles: approach cleanly, confirm the prompt, commit to an escape lane, deposit at your base. Inputs differ slightly by device; see Controls.

Stealing map eggs

Scout before you sprint

  • Identify two approach angles and one bail-out path.
  • Watch which rivals are already accelerating toward the egg.
  • Skip eggs that force a long return through multiple enemy bases if your Speed is low.

Commit rules

  • If you will arrive second with no Speed edge, break off early and take a side egg.
  • If you arrive first, grab immediately — hesitation invites third parties.
  • After the pickup, do not stop to emote or open menus.

Return path habits

  • Pre-aim the camera toward home before the prompt confirms.
  • Hug geometry that blocks line-of-sight when someone tries to body-block.
  • Deposit first, celebrate later.

Beginners should master nearby loops in Getting Started before hunting edge-of-map eggs.

Stealing other players’ ASMRs

Player steals are where sessions are won. Targets are the placed squishies that generate income — especially high-band pieces described in ASMR Values.

Pick the right victim

Good conditions

  • Owner is locked on the treadmill
  • Owner is across the map chasing an egg
  • Target ASMR sits on an edge slot near your approach
  • You outclass them on Speed
  • Their friend is not camping the entrance

Bad conditions

  • Owner staring at their base doorway
  • Duo defense with friend income active and both present
  • Your inventory / carry state is already risky
  • Escape requires crossing two other aggressive bases

Heist sequence

  1. Train or maintain Speed so you enter with a movement advantage.
  2. Approach from the angle with the shortest exit, not the prettiest camera shot.
  3. Trigger the steal prompt on the highest practical target (S/A over junk).
  4. Leave on a committed line — feints mid-carry usually fail.
  5. Deposit at your base, then decide keep vs sell.
  6. Rotate to defense; victims often counter-raid immediately (Defend Base).

Target priority while inside a base

3Edge mid-earnersShorter grab
4Low earnersOnly if you need quick sell cash

Timing windows that matter

  • Treadmill tunnels: Owners focusing on Speed gains react late.
  • Hatch animations / placement: UI attention drops.
  • Post-death or post-fail tilt: Players re-route poorly for a few seconds.
  • Server join spikes: New players path predictably — easy eggs, sometimes open bases.

Avoid stealing when you yourself just placed an S-tier piece with no defense plan. Offense and defense share the same clock.

Movement & Speed tips for steals

  • Claim the free 10,000 speed gift if you have not (Codes).
  • Upgrade the treadmill between heist attempts, not only after failures.
  • On mobile, slow slightly before prompts so you do not overshoot (Controls).
  • On PC, practice camera pre-aim so your first frame after steal already faces the exit.

Team tactics (friend bonus servers)

Playing with a friend boosts income, but it also enables roles:

  • Runner takes eggs and player ASMRs
  • Anchor watches the home row and calls incoming thieves
  • Swap roles every few minutes to avoid boredom and tunnel vision

Call targets by band (“edge A on left”) instead of vague “that one.”

Ethics, reports, and scripts

Aggressive stealing is intended. Using scripts with Auto Steal, Steal Mods, fly, or noclip is not the same as skill — and it risks bans. This guide assumes fair movement.

Practice drills (10 minutes)

  1. Grab three map eggs in a row without opening menus mid-carry.
  2. Enter an empty-looking base, touch an edge piece path, leave without greed-taking center trophies.
  3. Simulate a counter-raid: after depositing, stand where you can see your own approaches for 60 seconds.

Successful steals are boring on purpose: short approach, instant prompt, straight home. Flashy detours are how S-tier squishies return to their owners.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Steal ASMR questions.

Can I steal other players' ASMRs in Steal ASMR?

Yes. Online servers allow stealing ASMRs from other players' bases. Bring Speed and a planned escape path.

Should I always steal the rarest piece I see?

Steal the highest value piece you can extract safely. A closer A-tier grab that deposits beats a failed S-tier attempt.

What Speed do I need before player steals?

Enough to outrun the average owner on your server. Claim the free 10,000 speed gift and upgrade the treadmill before contested heists.

Why do I keep losing eggs on the way home?

Usually slow turns, mid-carry curiosity, or bad camera aim. Pre-aim home and skip side loot while carrying.

Is stealing considered cheating?

No. Player theft is part of the designed loop. Third-party scripts that automate steals are the risky behavior.
